Q & A With Me

Nice to meet you!  If I’m asking others to step outside their comfort zone I think it’s fair that I should step outside of mine and answer a few questions myself. If you have any more questions please do get in touch because no question is off limits. I love what I do and I want to help you love what you do too. So let’s get started

How would you describe what you do? Is it mentor, facilitator, trainer, coach ….

I’m all those and more probably and if I had to use just one word it would be an empowerer – actually that’s kind of my super power.  I’m so passionate about helping others achieve their own version of success and happiness by equipping them with the tools, strategies and mindset to live their best life.  I know through personal experience that you can overcome adversity, self doubt, imposter syndrome and all those other destructive limiting beliefs and I also know through working with many people over the course of my career how much better their lives have become too.  I feel very lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to do what I do.

What’s the number one favourite thing about what you do?

Seeing people develop self confidence and belief.  It’s an amazing transition to see right in front of your eyes that it’s almost palpable.  It’s so exciting and rewarding.

What’s your favourite trait you’re most proud of?

Apart from my super power (insert smiley face) I do love my compassion mixed in with a bit of a wicked sense of humour.  You have to have a sense of humour right so as much as I am about empowering others I’m also about making it bloody good fun whilst we’re doing it!

In your own moments of self doubt or those more challenging days how do you build up your own self esteem, self belief?

Probably the best thing I do on those harder days is to take time out and push the mindset reset button.  Once you have the tools you just have to pull out the right ones to put you back on track because there’s always going to be challenges. Armed with knowledge and experience the transition becomes a lot easier and quicker to turn a not so good experience or day around.

What’s 3 characteristics you admire in others?

Persistence or stickability and self reflection.  I just like people who stick at things that help them overcome challenges to improve their life. Self reflection is another great characteristic because it’s similar to self awareness; having insight around your own feelings, emotions and thoughts which then leads to better understanding of others.

If you had three more hours in the day what would you do with it?

It would probably change from one day to the next but it could go from doing even more self development work (I just love learning and development), perhaps watch a good movie on Netflix or maybe just nothing at all!
